Journalists are always looking for real people to tell their story about how migraine has affected their lives.  Without media volunteers The Migraine Trust would find it a lot more difficult to raise awareness of this debilitating condition.  If you have migraine and are willing to talk to journalists or be profiled then please get in touch with us.

Share Your Story

If you happen to be a bit publicity shy, but would still like to share your experiences of migraine, then please send us your story. Every story is useful to us, especially as migraine is such an individual condition, and many people have unusual and different experiences. You might tell us what you have found particularly hard to cope with about the condition, or about anything that has helped you deal with migraine.

Star for a day!

At The Migraine Trust, we get requests from local and national newspapers and magazines for stories of migraine sufferers. Often the journalist will want to interview a sufferer in their local distribution area. We therefore need media volunteers from all over the country - people like you, who are happy to share your story. The interview normally consists of a short telephone conversation, and will sometimes involve a photograph, if you are happy with this. We are particularly keen for male sufferers to volunteer, and also the parents of children who suffer with migraine.

If you register as a media volunteer, you are not committed to taking part in the interviews we may contact you about. Any help you are able to provide is appreciated - you are our most valuable way of increasing awareness of the condition.

If you would like to get involved, please print, complete and return a Media Volunteer Form to us. If you would prefer to return your form via email then please send an email to press@migrainetrust.org to request a word version of the Media Volunteer Form.

Got any contacts?

Are you a journalist, or do you work in media? If you have any useful contacts we can use to raise awareness of migraine then we would certainly like to hear from you.

Any celebrities out there?

We would love to hear from any high-profile sufferers who would be willing to undertake a small amount of publicity for The Trust. Your association is one of the most powerful ways of raising awareness of migraine. Please remember that even something as simple as a short quote can make all the difference to our campaign. Please contact us, even if you can only spare a very small amount of time.
