The Migraine Trust Press Coverage
The Migraine Trust is regularly asked to contribute to articles and interviews about migraine or to respond to research results. Below are a range of recent examples of how we have been featured by the media.

In April 2010 new research concerning the taking of aspirin to treat headache was published. We were asked by the BBC for our comments which you can see here. We were also asked to comment by the BBC about a new hand held device for migraine sufferers in March 2010 which you can see here.
National Press
In July/August 2010 we worked with The Sun on the use of Botox as a preventative treatment for chronic migraine. We were asked by The Daily Express to comment on 'Stroke threat to women on Pill' story, October 2009 due to the link between stroke, migraine and contraception. In addition over the last two years we have been mentioned in The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Independent, The Guardian, Sunday Mirror and The Observer.
Professional Press
The British Journal of School Nursing, December 2009 published an article written by The Migraine Trust on 'Understanding the needs of migraineurs in schools'. We contributed to an article in Pharmacy Magazine, April 2010, on headache management.
Women's/health/lifestyle magazines
In She magazine, March 2010 our information was used to help answer a question from a migraine sufferer whose workplace was triggering migraine attacks. In May 2010 Woman magazine quoted our information about lack of sleep as a migraine trigger. Healthy magazine in January 2010 had lots of information from one of our Trustees about 'What happens when I have a headache'.

As part of the 2008 Migraine Awareness Week, The Migraine Trust helped create a series of videos for the health website new-you.tv. A video was created for each day of the week to highlight different aspects of migraine - you can view each video by clicking on the links below:

Radio programmes featuring migraine
We regularly contribute to radio programmes about migraine including national radio programmes such as Women's Hour, local BBC radio stations and also commercial radio.
To kick off the 2009 Migraine Awareness Week (6th - 12th September), Susan Haydon, Support Services Manager at The Migraine Trust was interviewed for a podcast about migraine and the recession. In September 2008 The Migraine Trust was featured on a community radio station programme about migraine on Manchester’s ALL FM 96.9. Speaking in the feature are migraine sufferer Colin Harwood, Dr Saul Berkovitz a Consultant Physician at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital and The Migraine Trust’s Susan Haydon. When we ran an event for the public in Plymouth, November 2009 the Plymouth Herald ran a story called 'Migraine experts at roadshow'. The same month saw the Sidmouth Herald reprint our advice on Managing Your Migraines over Christmas and New Year.
