Ian Watmore (Chairman)

Ian Watmore is the Permanent Secretary of the Cabinet Office. He is a former Chief Executive of the Football Association. He worked in the Civil Service between 2004-09, where he worked for Tony Blair as the head of the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit  and as Government Chief Information Officer, before running what is now the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Most of Ian's career has been spent in the IT industry, where he was managing director of Accenture, the technology services and consultancy company. He has a degree in mathematics and management studies from Trinity College, Cambridge, and is a life-long Arsenal supporter.

Jenny Mills (Honorary Treasurer)

Jenny Mills is an experienced manager with board-level experience in both the commercial and  public sector. Over the last 20 years, this work has included the management of large divisions of significant organisations and also input at board-level to performance monitoring and strategy formulation and implementation. Jenny started her career with ICL as a computer programmer, and then moved into sales, marketing and management with IT services companies. Her career has included director level roles within the IT sector and also for a large housing association. Jenny is Chair of the Board of Merton Priory Homes Housing Association and a member of the Strategy Board of The Circle Anglia Housing Group.

Julius PHS Wolff-Ingham

Julius Wolff-Ingham loves his job as Head of Marketing and Fundraising at The Salvation Army. He has grown appeals income from £3 million to £24million and if that isn't enough, he has responsibility for a total voluntary annual income of over £60 million. Prior to joining The Salvation Army Julius worked with leading marketing and communications agencies and has 23 years as a passionate specialist in fundraising and marketing for the voluntary sector. Julius is a charity trustee, a Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising and for five years chaired its National Convention.  He is also non-executive chairman of charity DM agency TW CAT, and having lived in Italy once, loves an espresso and makes a mean risotto.

Professor Peter J Goadsby

Professor Peter Goadsby is Professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco and Director of the UCSF Headache Center. He is an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond St, London, and President-Elect of the International Headache Society. His clinical and research interests are in the understanding of headache disorders and in their diagnosis and treatment.

Suzanna Hammond

Suzanna is the Chief Executive of Hammond PR specialising in UK and European–wide campaigns in the corporate, lifestyle and food industries. She is also a Director of The Green Energy Group, which is a dedicated division of Hammond, focusing on the environmental and renewable energy sectors. Suzanna’s career spans working for agencies such as Good Relations, J Walter Thompson, Hill & Knowlton and Ogilvy & Mather PR, before leaving to set up Hammond PR. Suzanna was formerly a Trustee of The Royal Brompton Hospital before becoming a Trustee of The Migraine Trust.

Harvey McGregor QC

Pupillage at 3 Essex Court with pupil master Lord Donaldson, later Master of the Rolls, was succeeded by a tenancy at 1 Brick Court. There followed seven years away from the Bar to gain experience elsewhere, first in London with the prestigious advertising firm of J.Walter Thompson and as a Visiting Law Professor at New York University and at Rutgers University in New Jersey. After this, Harvey returned to the Bar going into the now Gray’s Inn Tax Chambers. His practice started to develop outside the tax field into more general common law and, after as a junior handling single-handed for the defendants the three month negligence and breach of contract case arising from the Emley Moor disaster and after then taking silk, he moved to 4 Paper Buildings where he has been ever since, being Head of Chambers for a long spell from 1986 to 2000. Elected Warden of New College just before becoming Head of Chambers, he nevertheless continued in practice, combining the two positions without difficulty. Since the Wardenship came to an end he has continued in practice but on a reduced scale as he has other activities which he wishes to pursue.

Suzanne Marriott

Suzanne Marriott is a Partner and Notary Public at Charles Russell Solicitors, based in the City of London. Suzanne is a qualified solicitor practising as a private client and charities lawyer, specialising in Wills, trusts, tax planning, mental capacity and charitable bequests. Suzanne also acts as a notary. She is married with two young children and lives in South West London and acts as a charity trustee of a number of charities in the medical field including Baily Thomas and the Development Trust.

Dr Mark Weatherall

Dr Mark Weatherall is consultant neurologist to the Imperial College Healthcare and Ealing Hospital NHS Trusts. Educated at Abingdon and Selwyn College, Cambridge, where he read medical sciences, he pursued a career as a medical historian for six years before completing his clinical training. He trained in neurology at Oxford, Nottingham, Preston and Manchester, before an interest in headache brought him to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, where he was a clinical fellow in the Headache Group run by Peter Goadsby and Holger Kaube. He sees patients at The Princess Margaret Migraine Clinic at Charing Cross Hospital, and also in a headache clinic at Ealing. His clinical and research interests centre around chronic headache disorders, in particular medication overuse headache and new daily persistent headache.

Dr Fayyaz Ahmed

Dr Fayyaz Ahmed is a Consultant Neurologist/Clinical Director at the Neurosciences Business Unit, Hull and Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Hull Royal Infirmary, Hull. Dr Ahmed graduated from Dow Medical College Karachi, Pakistan in 1986.  He moved on to the UK after his residency and received his Neurology training at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds and Imperial College London.  He did his research on cerebral blood flow in migraine and clinical training in headache at the Princess Margaret Migraine Clinic, Charing Cross Hospital, London.  He was appointed as Consultant Neurologist in Hull in 1996 where he established a dedicated headache clinic. He did his MBA in Public Sector Management from University of Hull in 2010 and is currently the Chair of British Association for the Study of Headache having served as a secretary between 2005-2008 and Vice Chair between 2009-2010.

Dr Brendan Davies

Dr Brendan Davies is a Consultant Neurologist and Director of the North Midlands Headache Clinic, University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent.
