A double burden?

A multi-method investigation into the experiences of paediatric chronic pain and mental health symptoms

Sharon Bateman, a psychology PhD researcher at the University of Bath, is recruiting people for a study into how young people and their parents experience ongoing pain and emotional difficulties.

She is looking for young people aged 11-19 who have pain and/or mental health symptoms, and where possible, one of their parents to also take part in the study.

The study involves completing an online questionnaire (about 25 minutes) at two times points, baseline and 12 months later. There is also an optional telephone interview stage that would take place shortly after completion of the questionnaire at both time points.

Participants will receive a £10 Amazon voucher for completion of each questionnaire and if they choose to take part in the interview stage a £15 Amazon voucher after each interview.

You can email Sharon at s.l.bateman@bath.ac.uk if you have any questions about it or would like to take part in the study.
