Leave a gift in your Will

After taking care of your loved ones, please consider leaving a gift to The Migraine Trust in your Will

The Migraine Trust receives no public funding. We are completely reliant on the generosity of migraine heroes – people like you – to enable us to keep doing what we’re really proud of doing: helping people affected by migraine to live better lives and helping to find a cure for this complex, painful, debilitating and exhausting brain disease.

Gifts in Wills are a vital source of income for us. Last year, over half of our funding came from what we call ‘legacy giving’.

Leaving a legacy brings a cure for migraine one step closer

We recognise that people leave a gift to our wonderful charity for lots of different reasons.

Some people want to say thank you for the support we’ve given them or a loved one during their life. Others want to ensure that future generations are able to have a better life. Others hope to do their bit to bring a cure for migraine one step closer.

Whatever your reason for giving, we are very grateful for every single gift.

We need your help now more than ever

There are now 10 million adults with migraine in the UK. We launched a new and ambitious five-year strategy at the end of February 2020 that will enable us reach more people affected by migraine, help more people, and change even more people’s lives for the better.

Our strategy sets out eight exciting projects for our charity to deliver over the next five years, based closely on what people affected by migraine have told us they most want and need from us. Whatever your own personal reasons for giving to The Migraine Trust, we hope you will find these reasons are part of our new strategy.

In order to deliver our new strategy, we will need to significantly grow our charity’s fundraising income.

Leaving a gift in your Will is simple and easy to do

You don’t have to be wealthy to leave a gift in your Will. Whatever the amount, big or small, after you have looked after family and friends we’re extremely grateful for any gift left to The Migraine Trust.

If you are considering writing or updating your Will, we recommend that you use a qualified solicitor or Will writer. To leave a gift to The Migraine Trust, you just need to give your professional adviser our charity name, postal address and registered charity number along with the amount, or percentage of your estate, that you would like to give us.
