Tribute to Vicky Quarshie
She was dedicated to helping people affected by migraine
We are very sad about the terrible news of the death of our friend Vicky Quarshie.
Vicky was a headache specialist nurse in the Headache Service based at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, where she worked tirelessly to help migraine patients.
Ensuring that people with migraine understood their condition better and the help that was available, she often spoke at our Managing Your Migraine events.
Vicky was also an important leader in the migraine community. She was a council member of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and a member of the United Kingdom and European Headache Specialist Nursing Forum.
We are very grateful to Vicky, not only for her dedication to helping people affected by migraine, but the support she has given the charity over the years including fundraising for us. Her husband Sam also ran a marathon for us.
Everyone at The Migraine Trust extends our condolences to Sam and their two children.
The specialist nurses from BASH have created a book of condolence where you can add your message about Vicky. If you would like to add a tribute to it, you can by clicking here and registering.
